I'm wondering if its possible to put rear tubs on my car and fit custom 12 inch wide wheels without doing a narrowed rear end? I want to keep my MM rear suspension. I want the car to handle and not just be straight line but, I want those super wide tires.
I dunno...i think you'd be faced with figuring out the back spacing and offset, and i think at the end you'd run into the shocks no matter what you did. Wider wheel wells is only half the problem.
I going to be running a setup like this soon (maybe upto 13"wide), but haven't started the fab work as I am still planning and measuring. You probably won't be able to use any of this copy cat bolt-on catalog parts stuff to do it, but it can be done. I don't want to let out the secrets to my plans, but if you want to do some custom stuff you can make it work.

Is that for the Pacecar or the '95? I'm almost certain i've seen 12 inch rims on an SN95 already, maybe without a lot of mods if any. The wheel wells are a lot deeper.
I just want the meats with out losing my track width. I want my MM 3 link to be free to move and I will be running coilovers. I just don't want to narrow the rear I hate all out drag cars they are so unfunctional and most don't see the strip that much.
