ok, i put 97 cobra wheels on my 84 svo, but they stick out to much and hit the tire on deep dips, etc. except for rolling the fender lip, which wheels will work better? also, can i swap the spindles and use 5.0 ones? and if not, can I use 5.0 struts/shocks to replace my worn konis. seems like the rears will, but don't know about the svo spindle. thanks

There is a wheel thread at svoca.com that you should review, just deals w/ wheel swap options on svo's.

You want a 5.0 spindle so you can go 4 lug? That's a step backwards imo. You may have to change A-arms, but I don't know for sure.

Yeah, new Koni's will break you, I just dropped $511 for all the way around, but if you are buying Cobra wheels ...

Polished SVO wheels look sharp, I get compliments on my wheels all the time.

Are these 17X8 if so what you need to do is do the sn95 swap up front. Use contol arms, spindles , and brakes from a 94-04 Mustang. You will also have to get caster/camber plates to get it to align properly. You will have to use struts for a 87-93 . How much is it sticking out? you might be able to put some C/C plates on and have the caster adjusted so the wheels are at more of an angle which will help it handle better anyways. The rears are probably sticking out quite a bit too right. I had put 99 Cobras on mine and put 01 GT stuff up front and Fox length axles out back. However I am going with 17X9's now and just changed my front control arms to Fox control arms. Now that I think about it you could just put Fox control arms and would have to find the adapter for the balljoint since the Fox is smaller. Might still have to get C/C plates to get it aligned properly.
