when do you need a transmission cooler???

how loose can a converter be before you need a trani cooler??? 2800 ok without one

It's a great thing to do even on a stock application. Do it no matter what stall you run, IMHO.

A stacked plate unit at or over 20,000 GVWR should do pretty well. 50-60 bucks well spent.

If you have an auto trans, you should have a cooler IMHO.

Agreed, heat is by far the #1 killer of autos, even in a stock application you wil pick up much needed longevity with one. Just ask the 4R100 in my Stroker

Really should be the first mod on an auto car. I know that it was one the first few on mine.

i agree with everyone, all auto trans should have one no matter if the trans is stock or not. autos and heat dont mix. get the biggest one you can fit

Agree with everyone else, I mean, whats 60.00 now compared to a 1200.00 rebuild later?

I also installed an auxillary trans filter kit. I think both are good investments.

I have a 19,000 GVW B&M cooler on my bone stock AOD. Worth every penny. I would get the 24,000 GVW if I had it to do over. The bigger the cooler the better.

Can't cool tranny fluid too much. Definately get one.
