When is your Mustang hibernating?

This sux!!!! It feels like I just took it out for the summer. Mine will go bye bye for the winter after Thanksgiving. Usually after the first snow fall I put it away. I'm going to put the last coat of wax on the car this weekend :(

Summer went by so fast!!! feels like i just took it out. BUt i will probably put it away at the end of the month, depends on the weather. Its not my daily driver anyway so maybe a little longer. SUcks, but not too sad winter is coming . TIme to take the snowmobiles out of hibernation!!!! :flag:

Mine is going to sleep at the end of the month. I have a 97 S10 to drive in the winter. I just pump the tires up really good, disconnect the neg battery cable, fill the tank up and add a little sta-bil to the gas to keep it fresh. I am not really sure how hard it is on the engine the first time i start it in the spring seeing how the oil has sat all winter and most of it drained off the engine components with only a slight coating on the parts left.....any opinions welcomed????

Start it over the winter. I do. Just let if run for about 45min so the exhaust heats up, give it a few "who's your daddy" revs and it will be fine. I start mine at least twice a month. Just make sure you let it run long enough so the moisture can burn off. If you let the car run for 10min and turn it off the moisture can rust out your exhaust from the inside out.

i don't know why you guys store it for the whole winter. take it out every weekend, when there isn't snow of course.. what's the point in having a car (cheap one at that) and just to let it sit idle for a whole winter?

hmmm...It won'tt really be stored, just on all days of rain or wet ground. But that should start happening within a month or so. It will be out of commission often tho, due to many projects, one having to do with Mr. Kenne Bell. Then I bust out the beastly Durango.

mines a daily driver, most Ive driven in was 8 inches of snow, its um interesting... Honestly I think most people garage them because they cant or are afraid to drive them in the snow.
The only 2 legit reasons are if its a show car or just has too much torque even starting out in 2nd or 3rd :p I dont think it has anything to do with the price of the car.
Salt washes off and so does mag chloride, I wouldnt be too afraid of it, mag chloride only affects rubber short term, if you wash it off within aprox 48 hours it wont hurt metal or clearcoat too much.
