I looked and my CCRM ISmad: ) riveted to the bracket. So Im gonna have to take it out. Im pretty sure I could find them but I just wanted to make sure I knew where they were before I jumped into it.
Take off the plastic cover that runs across the front and there are 2 or 3 metric bolts with 8 mm heads that run straight down into the core support. The only other thing I can think of is that I have to pull the little plastic clip out of the fan housing cause the harness is so short. Hope that helps!
The CCRM is not riveted. What you see is the rivets on the case. There are 2 bolts you need to remove but first you must remove the entire bracket. I think I used a 7/32 socket to remove the CCRM from the bracket. There are 2 bolts that holds the bracket to the main support - use a 5/16 socket to remove - and a bolt that holds the bottle - use a 7mm to remove that one. Then you will see the 2 screws holding the CCRM to the bracket - they are installed caddy corner - top right and bottom left.
You sure its not riveted? I know the CCRM I have has four holes it it. No rivets. But now that you mention it I noticed that the rivet didnt go throught the back of the bracket. Hmmmm.
Youre right, it wasnt riveted. I changed it and it seemd to fix the miss. It still does it every once in a while, but not nearly as much. I drilled the rivets out of the old on and checked it and it looked like something was burnt. Im gonn a let my friend take it to school and replace any resistors or anything thats blown.
Glad you got it. I've seen them fail with the plate for the coil windings migrating away from the coil. He should be able to fix yours so you have a spare.

Thats the plan. I may swap them back after he fixes it to see if the one I have isnt messed up too. I figured for $20 the CCRM might have a bad circuit. But maybe its something else.
