Where can I buy a Shelby plaque?

You know the Shelby plates that are on the center of the dashboard? Where, if anyplace, can you purchase these? Or are they solely installed on Shelbys and no one duplicates them?

Also... has anyone ever heard about putting a GT500 front fascia on a V6? I'm talking about the front grille and slanted headlights. If it can be done, how much and where can you buy it?

Thanks for the info!!!

I believe there is a yellow V6 on this site that has the conversion done. There should be no difference between the GT and V6 as far as swapping for the Shelby front end as the OEM parts all get replaced.

Carroll Shelby's Childrens Foundation, there was a link visible after you go to the link listed above, offers what looks like the plaque and is signed by Shelby.
To get the real thing you must own a Shelby as the VIN number is required. The autographed plaque is available to anyone. I believe the cost is about $295. It is tax deductible because it is a donation to the children's foundation.
Could that autograph some day be valuable? Maybe??
I have one on my GT. I enjoy looking at it and wishing I could have afforded the car.

It is a genuine Shelby autograph with a certificate of authenticity, if that is worth anything.
The autograph is and will be collectible. Will it be that valuable, I don't know. You are helping kids with heart problems if you buy one, though.

not to be mean, but no matter how many stickers and plaques and lights and whatever else you want on it it'll still be a base model v6 mustang and mustang purists will not approve of the pedigree falsifying. That being said it is your car and you can do what you want with it, but know that you will always be one of the black sheep of the stang community.

Not to mention that the moment you start the car it will still sound like a 6-banger and there isn't anything you can do to change that.

It's one thing to install the front fascia, who cares about that. To actually try and put the dash plaque in place to make people think it's a Shelby, that is just so lame :notnice: :nono: :bs:

A fake is a fake, whether it's the car you're trying to make or a three dollar bill.

It's your car, do what you want, but the people who care about and know what a real Shelby is will know you have a fake INSTANTLY.

The Shelby CS6 that was at our meeting last night(parked right beside me)sounded pretty good. I heard it idle and as it was driving off. Clearly not what the V8s produce with aftermarket goodies, but very respectable and not ricey:nice: :flag:
