I tore the dash out, removed stuff I didn't need like the HVAC system and all the plumbing that goes with it. So I think these have something to do with the HVAC system but where can I find these numbers to see what they do or if I need them anymore in my wiring harness?

Plus just for fun I tried to look up my vin# and research what the numbers and letter mean. I have them all except these. 4-11 digit. ( bp40xjf ) I think it has something to do with the engine type, model, year, assembly pland and series.

Thanks,

B = Restraint system (active belts)
P = Passenger car
40 = Body style (2dr LX)
X = should be E for 5.0 or A for 2.3, wtf?
You're missing a digit
J = 1988
F = Dearborn production

i would leave em, they cant weigh much.. or just for fun trace the wire colors to the fuse panel and see what fuse it is, get yourself a wiring schematic while you're at it or navigate your way around the autozone website, they have some free wiring diagrams for self diagnosis
