They are correct. I just had the joy of replacing a faulty PCM. You'll need knee pads, lots of light, and some small sockets to get the little bitty screws out.
It's really not too hard, just takes about an hour, with beer breaks

10mm socket to be exact. Here, follow this guide, I just used it to install my Tweecer R/T. Now if I can only get my brother to let me borrow his damn laptop...
To be honest, the Jet chip kinda sucks. I used to swear buy it but the more I learn about cars the more I realize I should never have bought it. The only thing that chips do is to bump the timing, which you can do manually by turning the distributor with a timing light. The superchips chip does the same thing.
At the time, I was even more of a newb then I am now, and I was excited about "chipping" my car. Don't do it. Get a programming unit like the TwEECer or AFM PMS, OR get a professionally burnt chip. The PCMs in our vehicles are indeed reprogammable, the afore mentioned units do just that.
Don't waste your money on a chip. I sold mine on Ebay after about two weeks of being a member here.
