So my T-bird's idle control sensor (or something of that nature I've been told) is bad, and I'm pretty positive this is contained in the throttle body, so I came up with the idea to just get a 65mm TB for the mustang and put the mustang's TB on the thunderbird...problem solved. Anyway, I was just wondering which TB you guys suggest at a reasonable price and where to get it. Looked on partshopper on here...don't really want the professional products one... Also, do I need to buy a spacer or anything with it? Thanks for the help.

If you use the stock intake, you dont need anything else. The lowest price "acceptable" one for our car would be the BBK. I think theyre $179 new at Summit or some other site that advertises in the mags. FMS is also a choice, but higher Priced....

You could just go to a junkyard to get one for the TBird.

I got a BBK tb from summit, good price, think they sell a Ford Racing TB with all new electronics. I'm not sure about the t-birds setup, but If it is like the fox body stangs a 94-95 t-body won't work, different design unless you've done the linkage swap. I'm guessing you're having idle problems??? I just replaced my throttle position sensor, fixed it right up, think it was 12 bucks from auto zone, 2 screws and a electircal plug, 5 mins to swap out. Hope that helps, Later

ill tell you as soon as i get my 24# injectors. Im doing the MAF, Manifold, BBK 70mm, and injectors all in one shot. for me, thats a good hour and a half to kill :D But i do say, i got my BBK from Brothers and the BBK quality is out of this freaking world. Its such a good looking piece of equipment.

Well, got the 65mm BBK and put it on. Really easy unless you strip a couple of screws like an idiot and spend about an hour with vice grips trying to get them out by the way. The throttle body looks like it will fit but the passenger side of it isn't going to cause the hookups are slightly different and I'm not gonna try to "rig it" or anything. Off to the junkyard to get one I suppose. At least it sounded like a good excuse and the stang benefitted from it. Does whine a little bit, but I kinda like it.
