Where to get cheap new s/c?

Try one out...tell me how it works

I hooked one up to my vacuum and it sucked the carpet off my floor.

Seriously though, I don't think you're going to find much better of a deal than those that have already been mentioned. There's no such thing as a cheap SC kit if you want something nice and from a company with a reliable reputation that will give you some decent service if you should have problems.

No need to talk to everyone like they're stupid.

I am not saying i want to buy one for $1000, even $2000. I KNOW it will be more than that. I was just looking for the best prices. If one site offers it to me at $3900 and a different site offers the same exact kit for $3500, which place would you buy from?

If people had just taken the time to read my first post, then they would understand exactly what information that i needed. Mybloodrunsblue and smokin00gt had no problems. But it obviously challenges some people a little bit more than others

I understand that....but its not worth spending much time worrying about. On any board you're always going to get answers that may not be what you were looking for or were beyond the scope of your question. That's just the nature of the beast.

While the $3500 might seem like the better deal, if the one for $3900 came from a more reputable vendor and the first one did not, I'd probably pay the extra 400 bucks. A vendor that knows their products and sends you a decent tune, and can help with any install issues or fitment issues or tune issues.....is priceless IMO. There's no sense in getting ripped off.....but it might also be worthwhile to listen to some opinions on vendors from those people who have actually been customers of those vendors. I've read enough SC posts around here to know that some vendors make their customers very very happy.....while others are more disappointing. I unfortunately do not remember details about them though....but I do know that almost everyone I have ever read buying a kit from MPH was pretty well satisfied with the kit and any customer service they may have required.

You can get the Mongoose without the Xcal... and I think Tim will even email you the break in tune.

Modular Powerhouse has the best customer service and will help the gift giver to get exactly what you are looking for.

No need to reinvent the wheel.

By the way, what are these Amazon tunes? Is that a local dyno shop? or are you talking about Amazon.com... If so, you should know that your car will need to be on a dyno to be checked. Every car is a little different and it is proven that Detonation + SC = Boom

Hmmm, I will call MPH about that. Although I don't even need a tune from there.

Since when does Amazon.com tune people's cars? I was referring to a race shop. He does awesome work, especially on the Cobras and Lightnings. www.amazonracing.com

I have heard crazier things!

I am sure MPH will get you exactly what you need and will credit back what you don't need from the Mongoose price. They are a great company and the website offers forums where you can get tune support, advice and feedback from the owners of the company. I will buy my s/c from them when the time comes!

No, I'm going to have him email me a tune (just like MPH does), install the s/c, load the tune. Then soon after that i'll prolly make the 4 hr drive up to his shop to fine tune it on the dyno. You act like i dont have anything planned out if i get a sc...never doubt me son.
