where to get power under the hood?

Im currently going to be putting my battery in the trunk of my 69 mach1 and was going to use a terminal block I found from a company but they no longer sell them. What should I do to get some power for running accessories like relays and suck without running multible wires from the trunk? I was also gonna put one under the dash for power for gauges and such.

What kind of terminal block are you looking for? I sell little terminals at work(pretty much a bolt with a plastic casing) for under $10. You run the positive cable from the battery to the terminal and all the wires that were on the positive go to that.

I struggled with the same issue. I needed power for the MSD box, the choke, the distributor, the Vacuum pump, my headlight relays, etc so I out in one of these.

Some of the circuits are switched like the choke and some are constant like headlights.

I really like that painless kit, only problem is it saysit needs to be mounted near the battery and mine will be in the trunk.

That's ok, you just need a nice big low resistance cable from the battery to the terminal - no matter what you choose.

Yea Im using 1/0 gauge. So I run that cable to the terminal, and from the terminal to the starter solenoid right?

why can't you just take it off the hot side of the starter solinoid? It might be cleaner with those other products, but not necessary...

so it would be ok to have like 5 or more wires all connected to the starter solenoid. Think it might look trashy.

You can have several wires connected to the starter solenoid, but yes it does look bad and can potentially cause problems down the road. I have never had any problems from doing this though.

I would get a distribution block and hook it up to the solenoid and hook everything else up to it.

I don't know about that. You could look at Summit and Jegs and see what they have.
