crap....that sucks. My local paint shop did a good job and the price was right for my windo scopes but they had to work them over 4 times to get them right. I guess I am stuck taking things back to him.

what was your local shop having a problem with with your scoops?

i had mine done at a local shop, but i may be bringing them to this one dealership that is the first one around here with water based paints. supposed to match better from all angles. i could of painted them myself, but i've been working alot, so they would take a while, and i don't have the proper compressor to get a quality job done.

the main problem i've seen with window scoops and side scoops and etc. is the prep work. the add ons have a covering on them, so this way they dont stick where they are produced. but this will also stop paint from sticking. so when prepping if a good enough job isn't done, it will flake off, or fish eye. and look horrible. but with a solid prep job, the parts should look awesome first time around. i brought my parts to a place that deals with alot of custom work like that, so they knew exactly what steps were required to take to assure a quality job.

they had a hard time with the prep, baked them and sanded them and all that but they always looked alittle off. The Owner refused to give them to me till he got them correct and for the $125 to paint them I couldnt complain too much since all the other quotes were $200. I just know that after the those he is going to raise the price on me since its not going to go as easy...

Whats the best chin spoiler for a lower car?? I want an aggressive look but dont want to be scraping paint on every speed bump.... LOL

GT500 lookalike by Cervini. I think they call it type III. That type shouldn't lower your clearance up front that much. Or you could hack a GT500 chin to fit same thing for less but a little getto-tech involved.

Anyone know how low the classic chin spoiler extends down from the bottom of the front fasc?? What about the 3dcarbon one???

On a side note, the "ICE" wax works great on satin silver.... 15 minutes to do the entire car and she looked better then new.
