wheres the blinker fluid reservoir?

my blinker lights only work with the key ON engine OFF, they wont work with the engine ON (hazzards work normally)

anybody got an idea what the problem is? could it be the ignition lock and tumbler?

I think it might be cause ever since the blinkers stopped my motor will once in a while shut off for a split second, always right when I powershift, happens really really fast, only can tell it happens by looking at the tach.

any ideas

I remember my buddy telling one of his girlfriends that...she went to Advance and ask for blinker fuild.

You aren't trying to use the turn signal with the hazards on are you?

i had a friend who liked to pretend to know a lot about cars to fit in i guess...
i screwed with him so much he tried to order ram air suspension and got him to ask about a canooder valve at oreillys.

to the OP:
i dont remember the question now

EDIT: id check through all the dash wiring and make sure nothing is wired up "redneck" style. When i got my car i took the interior out and plugged in some things the OP decided he didnt like i guess. You never know with cars like these.

Okay as far as the title of the thread... it's near the muffler antennas.

As far as the motor skippin' a beat. I read somewhere that if it's a trans swapped car with the aod comp that its actually setup to briefly kill the motor at the shift points so it doesn't slam the gears.

As far as the blinkers only working with the key on engine off, I have no idea, just roll down the window and stick your arm out.

and its a original 5-speed car

wiring is fine, except for one thing, and this is super super weird, if I roll up the driver side window all the way..... it kills the radio, haha seriously the door speaker wires are no where near the window lift parts.

Make sure none of the wires came out the back of the hazard switch connector.

I recently had really bad and random electrical problems (blinkers included) and it turned out to be the big connector on the bottom side of the steering column (mine had just broken become loose).. doesnt sound exactly like the same symptoms but you might check it.

What year car are we dealing with? Some cars get power for hazards from multiple circuits. And yes this could be in the ignition switch.

Also, this could be in the multi-function switch. I have seen on some of the older cars (the ones that do not use a GEM) do some funky things as the contacts age. The contacts wear faster when they have to switch the full current of the bulbs (the models with a GEM, the multi-function switch is mainly pilot duty).

Have you checked all of the fuses (had to ask)?

When replacing the blinker fluid, it's a good idea to do the headlight fluid as well. You need to check with the owners manual and see if your car requires halogen headlight fluid or standard fluid. Trust me on this, the last thing you want is to be driving out in the middle of nowhere and have headlight fluid viscocity breakdown.

thats for the replies, guess Im gonna swap the ignition lock, then check for loose harness's or grounded wires while Im in there.
