My front brakes are shot. Getting bullitt calipers and 13" rotors but... there are so many to pick from. ebay is loaded with choices. I want drilled and slotted.

Anyone got experience. Does the zinc plating actually work to prevent rusting at all? I remember someone found some partially painted ones too.

Advice? :nice:

Most reviews I've read about the FRPP ones were negative.

I personally went with genuine Brembos....13" cross drilled, zinc plated. The zinc plating does help to protect the areas where the pad doesn't contact the rotor. Mine aren't rusted at all in the areas where the plating still exists. FYI: Brembo doesn't make both slotted and drilled rotors, only either/or. The stuff you see on Ebay are brembos usually drilled/slotted or a combo done by an aftermarket company.

I got powerslots and they've stayed true despite a lot of abuse. Going along with what san~man was saying, I heard of the holes in the aftermarket drilled Brembos rusting shut. When they drill them after the fact the holes don't have the zinc plating in them so all you have is bare metal exposed to the elements. I would also question the integrity of the rotor since it was done by someone other than Brembo.

i have the standard brembros... rusting like hell and started after second week. going powerslot next time, just slotted not drilled. good thing is they work... and are cheap. aside from that.... well..

I talked to someone at stangsuspension. They drill their rotors before zinc plating and seem to be decent. I'm tempted to go with them.

The ford drilled/slotted look good too...

you prolly talked to josh at SS, great guy to deal with. ask him if he has any promotions running for brakes (he always does) and see if you can knock off 10-20 bucks (or free shipping)

Ask him who builds his rotots... i think its the same guys that make power slot to be honest. Josh has done some solid work to get HIS branded gear to the same par as the big boys... i have no issues going with SS gear over the brand name. might want to give it a shot.

I am looking for high quality rotors as well, the SS rotors look pretty good, & are reasonably priced. I'd be interested to know if they are from the Powerslot manufacturer as well, or if anyone has any personal experience with the rotors.

I only wish he offered slotted only rotors, cross drilling frightens me....
