Which 5.0's?

Ok, my friend at work has 2, 302 blocks for sale, and he only wants $100 for both (their EFI and he needs Carbed for durby) and i think he said they're from Crown Vics, not sure of the year (ill find out later) So my question is, would these possibly fit into a 1993 stang? i know some 5.0's need a fox body conversion to fit....

Those are not 5.0 HO, they have the other cam, and I think the upper intake is backwards compared to a mustang. I think the 88's had speed density, I'm not sure about 89-90, then they switched to the 4.6 in '91.

They are not bad engines, but they are pretty pathetic stock. If the bores are good, they would be ok to rebuild with a better cam and a mustang style intake, but I would not look at them as anything other than a core.

If they're just blocks, why does EFI or carb matter? Is he a friend or just a guy trying to get rid of some weight?
Im pretty sure they're the whole engines not just blocks. He's a friend of mine that builds durby cars for some kind of local racing. He said the only thing he wasn't sure about, was if they'd mount up or not. Im going to talk to him today (hopefully) and ill be sure to ask him more.
