I'm rebuilding the bottom end of my 5.0 The crank is being polished and balanced and I have a new SFI Billet steel 50 oz flywheel ready to be bolted on. The crankshaft damper is original and is in bad shape, 125,000 + MILES. 1991 Mustang GT. Which crankshaft damper do you 5.0er's recommend?
I'm looking at the High performance Ford balancer 50 oz. The car is going to see more street time than track.
New Probe 10:1 pistons .030 over, with clevitte bearings, rings, melling high volume oil pump and a Trick Flow upper engine kit. Also did AOD swap to t5 last week end. Project still going on:SNSign:

Also thinking of installing the King Cobra clutch from Ford for now, until I'm ready to start racing car at the track. What other clutches would you recommend?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Porfessional products makes a good balancer for the street and are rated for 6500rpm. The only thing with these is that you will hve to get a spacer to use it because this balancer is made for 1981 and newer 302's which through the years the location of the balancer has changed. You can get the balancer and spacer for 80 dollars http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/product.asp?ProdID=8042&CtgID=9922

For a nice combo like that, I might opt for a Romac or SFI Pioneer.

Good luck.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
