As it states, which would be the better performing brake upgrade for my DD GT.

1.) Baer front track kit and rear 13" kit

2.) Full cobra kit 13" front, 11.65" vented rear with MM stainless steel lines

Hopefully in the future i will be adding Bilsteins, H&R race springs, MM cc plates, and more suspension goodies.

Buy the 2nd option and save your money. BTW, the consensus is that unless you plan to track the car, there is no real reason to upgrade the rears other than some good brake pads. The stainless steel lines are def. a good upgrade though

the baer fronts are more expensive than the cobra so I would not even look at them since they are very similar.

a rear upgrade is only nesseary if auto-xing IMO.

there is also a 1k brembo upgrade for the front like the cobra r had.

if you want a real race upgrade look at brembo or the roush/bear alcon calipure kits. the dramatically upgrade braking but they cost over 2k just for the front.

damn! thats alot of $$$ for some brakes! i got the bullet-cobra calipers with some cross drilled-slotted rotors and nice pads. They work a heck of a lot better than the stock GT setup. i think the 1st choice is kind a little too expensive...but its really up to you.

hope this helps.

2nd choice, as the other guys said, if your not planing to race the car, there is not need to spend that much money on the baer brakes. The cobra ungrade will work just fine.

I don't know where the cost is coming in for all of you. The 13" baer front and rear can be had for approximately 900$. The front and rear cobra kit with lines is approximately 800$. I am thinking you guys may be right however and just do 13" upgrade in the front(cobra) and keep the stock setup in the back. What is everyones opinion now. That method would cost around 600$

either do the 2nd option, or seriously consider the Cobra R 4 piston Brembos. all the Baer kit is is the regular cobra kit. the calipers are identical (made by PBR in Australia). with the Cobra R kit you get 13" front rotors with 4 piston calipers. the stopping is a lot better than a cobra kit. my car now stops from 120 in a shorter distance than it used to stop from 70.

o and no matter which setup you do, make sure you use a high quality brake fluid such as Castrol GT LMA, Motul, or Valvoline Synpower.

Actually it can be had for alot less. Shipped from MustangTuning is $427.49 with the upgraded Bullitt calipers instead of the regular gray Cobra ones. And Stainless Steel lines aren't much more

If your just going do the front. You can kit the cobra upgrade with MM SSlines for about $420ish at Stangsuspension, Depending on the rotors you choose.

Or the whole kit(front&back) for $720. http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=446

if ur going to be spendin that kind of money, search for a saleen upgrade... they use 14in. rotars that are cross drilled and slotted, the calipers are 4 piston high performance ones... i think, so if you're going 2 be spending that much anyways, the saleen kit is a good choice

This kit on ebay is prolly the best choice for the standard cobra, mach 1 or bullitt upgrade. If you look at the listing it comes with slotted or drilled rotors your choice color black or red and with a pony or cobra on the caliper. It also has a stainless steel brake line upgrade included all for the same price as mustangtuning which has the ss lines at like $80. When I get money for these im gonna buy them. Also you can get the rear in 13" rotors at 299 from them as well.

I like the price from buyfordracing.com, but does anybody know about the stainless lines in their kits, I thought the standard bullitt/cobra lines were not braided steel, however they are what I want.

I'll be going with Bullitts on the front very soon (and upgraded rotors). From what I've heard the rear bullitts are the same as my stock setup except they are painted (mine are painted). Correct me if I'm wrong. I will probably buy new rotors for the rear though.

i have the 13" baer's on all 4 corners. I put the front on a year before the back. You'll notice the front, and there very simple to install. The back's are not as noticable, and they are kind of a PITB to put on, they look sweet though. I do a lot of driving courses, so i use them. If i was just seeing street time i'd upgrade the fronts and just put better pads in the rear.

I do a lot of driving schools, hence i wanted the rears

If you don't mind me asking, what schools have you gone to?

I just moved from Vegas and they have a few out there.
