Which Differential?

I am looking to upgrade my differential but not sur which one. The tru-trac looked good because of no clutches to ever replace, Auburn looked good because of no clutches and if you ever need to have it rebuilt you send it back and they send you a whole new unit for about the same price as the rebuild kit for a differential that has clutches. I not sure about the Eaton, it seems pretty strait forward, if it ever needs to be rebuilt you order the kit and do it so not a lot of down time.

I do like the 1/4 mi but I want something for primaraly autocross and some roadracing.

I know the Ford differential with 31 spline axles will be stronger but will the differential be stronger as well? Will it also perform better than the stock differential? I hate it when you take a corner at speed and there is not enough traction on the wheels to accelerate out of it from. The inner wheel spins until it regains traction. Not that I do that a lot, but you can feel the wheel spin before it grabs.

No to the truetrac

I'm swapping in a new rear end to my 99 GT I went with an auburn and strange axles. I would've gone Eaton but there backordered a month. The truetrac for the 8.8's are notorious for breaking due to the end cap on the differential thats held on by 4 bolts. Hard racing loosens the bolts and the diff comes apart possibly ruining the housing.
