I'm looking for Ultra-Flos (I think thats what I want) but I see Super Turbos as well. The Super Turbos are cheaper on summit as part of a catback. I'm just confused...

i have the super turbos, they sound kinda quiet at idle, but have a nice sound when you rev it...i wish i would got the ultra flows, they flow better and i think they are a little deeper sounding......and i think they both out flow, flowmasters (ei super turbo outflows flowmasters 50 series, and ultra flow outflows flowmasters 40 series .............i think i got that right)the reason i got the dynomax is because it seemed like everyone and they're grandma has flowmasters, i just wanted to be different.

Ultra-Flo's

They do cost a little more, but they are polished stainless steel.........

I run Super Turbo also. I go them for since they are quiter than flowmasters, plus like mentioned above 90% of the stangs around here run flowmasters.

dynomax

Ultra flows have a welded case and will not come apart. Super turbos are stamped togther and always come apart! You get what you pay for! They both sound great though let your budget decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had both. I have ultra flos now and love them. Its real simple, super turbos are quieter than ultra flos but the ultra flos are not really that loud.

I think the difference in power will be negligible. So, pick the one that you prefer by its sound.

I don't want to exceed 90dB. Think I will still be loud with Ultra-Flo's and 2 high flow cats?

I'd like to get the welded ultra flos since they should be cheaper, but if they are not much cheaper, then I'll just get the SS mufflers...

i agree with 88 gt,they are quiet but they aren't flowmasters like everyone else has and noise tickets won't be an issue.i swapped from flows with dumps to a super turbo catback and felt no power loss whatsoever plus now the law doesn't look as hard at me now.

cevtv, I saw those before. The name is kinda intimidating since they don't really say they are the Ultra-Flo's. They could just have a pic of the Ultra-Flo.

I don't want it to be loud. I got quite a few complaints about my exhaust being too loud when I was auto-xing. keep in mind I will be installing cats as well. I want it to sound nice, but not silent. Something like how a stock '99-04 GT sounds (volume wise).

My friend had the welded mufflers a while ago and I remember them being loud at WOT, and really quiet at idle. but that was a long time ago.

Ok cool. I just wanted to double check since I thought they were the race bullets which I definately do NOT want.

I can't find anyone else that sells the welded ultra flows (race magnums) as a catback WITH SS tips for an LX, other than Brothers Performance.

I odn't want to make another mistake on exhuast, but if they don't work out and are just too loud, amybe I could just swap the mufflers with the Super Turbos.

cevtv, Did your catback fit well? Was is a 6 piece design? (2 flow-tubes, 2 mufflers, and 2 tailpipes, nothing welded)

Yeah, they are not the Race Bullets.

The Welded/Race Magnum Cat-Back is not actually a kit from Dynomax......It's a cat-back put togther by Brothers - I asked them about it before I bought my Stainless kit.

It fit perfectly. No problems at all. The stainless pipes look factory, only in 2 1/2". The only thing with the welded cat-back, is that the mufflers do not have the hanger brackets. This is according to Brothers......
