Hi Guys,

My stock 'GT' fender emblems on my car are chipping and not lookin too hot these days. Sooo, I was thinking of getting some new fender badges.

Which do you like better?

1) Checkered flags with 4.6L (pics courtesy of 1LOW03GT):

2) Checkered & American flag with V8

NOTE: I may be a Canadian, but I know the flag is backwards in the above pic. I can get one with the flag facing the proper way (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/V8-V...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories).

Let me know what you think guys! I can't decide ....

I don't want any writing on it at all, even the '4.6' on the badge above is pushing it. I find alot of people think the 4.6L is a V6 for some reason as well. I'd prefer a V8 logo on the first badge in my post. that would be perfect!

I was talking to one dumbass and he thought the same thing about my Mach!! As far as the badging, I'd choose neither. I find the factory badging always looks best to me.

I hear you! I wouldn't replace the stock badges if it weren't for the paint chipping off. But since I'm going to replace them, I thought I'd try something different.

I would get stock replacements. For some reason everything else doesn't seem right. The GT looks good on there.

Anyone who would actually think a GT is a V6 because it has a 4.6L motor is a complete idiot and I wouldn't care what they thought based on just how retarded they were.

I like the 4.6 Hi-Po badges myself but out of the choices you listed I'd stick with reordering some new "GT" emblems. The emblems you posted are plain ugly IMO.

flags with 4.6L was my personal second choice (I've still got them around here somewhere )

but I went with "281"...4.6 just seems to confuse too people and I'm a C.I.D. kinda guy anyway

but I like the flag design and if I could have found them with 281 instead of 4.6 I'd have gone with that

I might have seen some of the flag emblems with a 281 on it.

Only other one I would have. I loved the 5.0 on foxes for some reason.

I like how the 4.6 emblem looks.

Feel free to suggest other emblems with V8 (or other) written on them then. I haven't made up my mind yet and I'm sure there are designs out there that I haven't seen yet.

I never really liked wording on a car, so i changed my fender emblems out for V6 running pony emblems. Much cleaner IMHO.

Shaved emblems. Other than that, I had a SOHC 281 emblem and all the others I just swapped for V6 running pony tri bar emblems.

The flag is facing the right way, Look at it as you are walking with a flag, if you are going forwards the stars are facing forwards. Unless you will be driving in revere, LOL.
