Which fan and fan clutch do I use on a 66 289?

I was wanting to switch to a new fan and fan clutch for my 66 but I do not know which one to get. What year do I need to get the fan and clutch from? Should I get an aftermarket flex fan or an original from a later mustang. What are the pros and cons of O.E. and aftermarket. I have the stock fan and shroud now and would like to keep the stock shroud in place.

I use a flex fan, but Im not overly concerned about originality under the hood. It does what it should, I dont have any overheating issues.

I remember there being a thread on here about aftermarket fans that ended up with two guys arguing who's smarter. It got locked but i bet you can still find it if you search. It was a pretty entertaing thread.
