which head is the best?

I'm wondering about wich head I should use for my dart 351 turbo combination. I was first looking at victor jr.'s but the edelbrock tech guy said they would'n be good for more than 500hp. I'm wanting to make somewhere around 700-875hp with a precision pt-76 turbo. The thing is that I need o keep the stock header bolt pattern for my PTK hot parts kit to fit. Does anyone have any reccomendations about which head I should go with to handle that kind of power range or which head that retains the stock bolt pattern is the strongest.

I think the afr 225's might work. Have you looked on www.hardcore50.com ? There are alot of big inch guys on there and alot of high flow head talk.

225's have a different header bolt setup. Im guessing you dont have heads right now. I say to go over to hardcore50 and make a thread, those guys know their stuff and should be able to help you.

yeah your right I haven' gotten the head yet. I just put a post on hardcore50 and am currently waiting for a reply. The only I have for the engine so far is the dart 9.5" deck height 351 block.

First off, that guy from Edelbrock is an idiot and should be terminated very soon. V/J's with a good valve job will go to 500 horsepower in a 351 with a 7000 RPM shift. With a turbo, it should be able to make an easy 650. With a few bucks in port work, I could see a V/J going to 750 HP, but at this point, you'd be better off buying AFR205's.

Why not the 225's? The 225's exhaust port is too big and won't be able to support the turbo...
