I currently have Edelbrock RPM Small valve competition polish and ported heads on my 331 Stroker (Rev limited to 6200) Cam has 550 max lift with 1.6 rollers (5 speed car) 99% street!

Do I go to the 185s CNC ported heads?

or the 205s CNC?

I've set it up as a poll

Thanks

i would stay with what you have. if you feel you have to upgrade, then go with the 205's.

I personally think the 205s would be over kill for a street car.

Why? If you're not happy with what you've got, the bigger heads won't do it for you either. The change with 185's won't be that noticeable, and the 205's are just plain too big. All they'll do is move your power up in the rpm band and shorten the life of the bottom end.

Yah, I figured you would say that.

I happen to have a buddy of mine with a 302 and RPMs would be a good fit for him, So thought I'd sell him mine and I'd go bigger.

But you're right, the benefits probably aren't worth the $$$.

Thanks for the replies, all opinions are welcome!

I also agree it is not worth it, those heads that you have right now are matched pretty well. 205's will be way overkill on that engine.
