For a stock short block.. I see so many different ones posted with times and such.. but the one that gets me the most is the Cobra intake... is it really a good intake from a 94-95 ?? Also.. the typhoon.. I've never heard of it, I've heard of trickflow and holley (which i had the holley on my last ride).. I just don't know the real difference between them all.... I plan on going holley again because I got really good performance out of the last one.

Short block makes no difference if it's in good shape - they displace 302ci. If you meant "long block" then the heads and cam make a difference in which intake you should choose - the best one for your combination. Choosing one piece without considering the others is a mistake. A Holley Systemax II intake is too big for a stock E7 or even a stock GT40 head.

The cobra, gt40, explorer intakes are all good intakes, you can usually get them for a fairly good price used..

I have the typhoon, its good for the money, but you will want to atleast have heads and cam or boost to run one.

Trickflow street heat or edelbrock performer are probably your best bet.. What is your combo anyways?

oh, I have a stock 94 gt convertible.. I'm not just going to jump in backwards and get an intake when the rest is stock. I'll get the headers/gears/coldair/pullies/tb before I get the intake. just like I did last time.

Intakes make a great difference on a stock heads and cam motor. Much better than a TB or coldair.

I always say on a fairly stock car:

As above (Performer or Trick FLow STREET)
Cobra
GT40

If you go with the Performer, You can upgrade the upper only to the RPM or RPMII if you get some more bolt ons or power adder.
