I need the assistance of the corral. I need to know which intake is best for my combo. I have a 306 with AFR 185's, F-cam, 1.7rr, long tube headers, and 10.2:1 compression. This is going thru a tremec 3550 to 3:73's out back. My car is a daily driver and currently I have a midly ported (just cleaned up) explorer intake. I don't want to lose a lot of bottom end, but I don't want to limit the ability to rev the motor. Any suggestions? also with your intake choice, what would you expect RWHP to be. thanks in advance for the advise!

You can't go wrong with a Holley Systemax, they will also compliment the AFR's very nicely. I am in the process of switching my Trick Flow intake and Y302 heads for AFR's and the Systemax intake on my 347.

+1 on the RPM II intake I'm running a very similar combo to your 306 and it runs extremly well.

Last Dyno #'s were 340 HP and 316 TRQ N/A car pulls all the way to 6500.

thanks for the replies. I am seeing a common consensus that the RPM II is the way to go. I have also had people tell me to ditch the f cam. Is there a better cam for my set-up. I have never rebuilt a motor before ( I bought this one assembled) how difficult is a cam swap? thanks again for your input.

A cam swap isn't too bad, if you have one before could take up to a day without any problems but plan on a full weekend.

I am running one of the Anderson Ford high rev cams and it performs beautifully!! It is a little on the high side on the when the powerband comes (around 2800) but that what the nitrous is used for!
