three questions in one here....which would be louder with stock exhaust other than flowmaster 40s: a mac shortie headers (equal or unequal not sure which produces more power?) or a street LEGAL x or h pipe...and which produces more power???

legal I dont know but I've heard nothing but good reviews about the MAC Prochamber... You might want to check to see if they make a catted version of that mid pipe and get that. Bassani also has top quality parts, with the top quality prices to go along with them though

yep unfortunately for my engine's ability to breathe I follow the rules when it comes to exhaust so it has to be legal but I will certainly check into that thanks for the info..!

you could go with a catted x pipe/h pipe, x will be raspier, sounds more exotic and h is more of a rumble/old muscle car sound

thanx for the advice I will check it out and I love the old muscle car sound that is actually what I am going for but power improvement is obviously aslo a big concern...

H pipe will give you a more agressive tone than an X will. The X however will make a little more hp than an H pipe. Good luck.
