which is stronger: pistons or rods?

Hey guys,

burned a piston from a bad injector and scored the cylinder wall. While i'm rebuilding, I think i'm going to go with forged pistons, and was wondering what y'all thought of keeping or tossing the stock rods on an ~300 RWHP N/A car. I don't believe that nitrous or a supercharger is in the future, but nitrous would be fun. Thanks for the input.

For another $500 I'd put good rods in it for sure.

It would be just as cheap to go with new h beam rods, rather than have a set of stockers checked and fitted with floating pins and arp bolts.

Definately replace those rods!

Ah, just forge the entire engine. 7000+RPMS...... Then you modify the valvetrain, and the...........

Replace the Rods and the Pistons. You will be able to go many more miles on your car if you do this. Spend the few extra hundred bucks right now so you will not have to re-do the pistons and rods again in the future. That's my honest opinion.
