If your fan is noisy it's probably because you have the flex fan on there, likely without a clutch right? If so, it always spins the same speed as the engine. The stock setup isn't all that loud when the clutch is good.

Don't buy any proform products, they are all junk.
I'd stay away from the black magic stuff too.
If you really want the fan, do it right and use the lincoln fan with the DCC controller.

As far as the SC, don't sacrifice something better to be different. There is a reason people use vortech's and paxtons, it's because the KB for a pushrod engine is nothing like one for a modular. The kb lacks future potential and creates a ton of heat, and if you drive the car hard, it's a head gasket blowing machine.

hmm well i saw a set up with the mark viii fan and it looked like there was no room at all, or just a very tight fit. yeah i have the flex fan with the spacer no clutch, so yeah its noisey. but yeah the lincoln fan seems ideal for the money its definately cheaper than the proforms or the black magic extreme. I just really like the looks of the KB but yeah i know our fox bodies really use the paxtons or vortechs, probably bc they are known to work. havent really reviewed or searched info on the KB.

Idealy you want ~3000 cfm. A proven fan is the taurus fan. You really can't go wrong with it. Of the ones listed, you should probably stick with a stocker...

I've been contemplating an electric fan for my LX for a while now. I wasn't planning on doing it real soon, but just scored a new-in-the-box Black Magic for $100. For 70% off the Summit price, I'll give it a shot.
