should i get a ford racing balancer for $62 from http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=396

or get the professional products balancer for $79 from http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/iwwida.pvx?;item?item_no=PP-80007K 1&comp=LRS

If i got with the PP one i also have to get the spacer for $14 http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/iwwida.pvx?;item?item_no=PP-81007 1&comp=LRS

so it would be a total of $93 for the pp + shipping

what do u guys think

Take a look at some other brands. The Pro Products SFI is a nice piece, but also around $170. Not sure I like the idea of going with their street version. I also wouldn't get the FRPP model, since it's identical to the one you're replacing, with the same inherent design flaw that causes the factory ones to fail. Many guys around here have had success with Pioneer balancers, and they're typically around $80-100 at Summit, if you'd be open to more suggestions?

I saw a standard replacement (non-SFI) Pioneer balancer on Summit's site for like $89 after I replied. Let me find a link real quick.

Edit: Not sure if this is the model that the guys around here recommend, but it's only $93.69. http://store.summitracing.com/partd...908282+4294924760+4294871851+115&autoview=sku

Pro products SFI here, it has taken the blower and 6000+ quite a bit.

Also had good experience with the cheaper pro prod balancer -- it is a nice piece as well.

Wes

EDIT: Can get both much cheaper on eBay.

well i went ahead and ordered the non sfi pp, i was doing a few searchers and found a few people having problems with the stock bolts not being long enough?? anyone experience with this...i asked the guy i bought it from and he said i should be able to use the stock blots..."should" lol

By the way i found it for $90 shipped with the spacer...is that a decent price

That's not too bad, 70 shipped with the spacer is the cheapest I've known anyone to pick up the pair.

I got some Grade 8 bolts from the hardware store for mine, the stockers were a bit too short for my taste on the installs of the balancers/spacers that I've done.
