which plug wires do you use?

hey guys i was just wondering, which plug wires do go with, i just got my car about a month ago and a friend told me that changing the plugs, wires and rotor will give me a little more power if a tune up has not been done in a while, but with so many choices i dont know if I should go with the 8.5mm MSD wires or the 9mm Ford Racing wires, what do you guys think? My mods are: u/d pulleys, o/r x-pipe, k&n filter, king cobra clutch, adjustable clutch quadrant & flowmasters

I use autolites a25 i think. I also have ford 9mm wires, but they are a little long

autolites 25. They say not to get platinum or anything. Just the copper ones

I have the same wires .... but with Motorcraft plugs that are side-gapped & indexed. Yeah, those wires are a little long, lol.

MSD 8.5's in red. I had FRPP ones and they are genric meaning they fit 86-95. They are not 94-95 specific. The coil wire will need to be shortened.

FMS 9mm red wires. Autolite 24's, or maybe they're 25's, I don't remember now, lol. Just get copper and NOT PLATINUM CRAP!!

Don't waste your time with FRPP 9mm, go with Anderson Ford Motorsport 8mm, they have less resistance than the FRPP 9mm wires, they are cut to length for 94\95s or Foxes (depeding on which you order) and they cost the same as the FRPP wires. It's a great wire for those of us on a budget! I run Autolite 24 spark plugs, standard not platinum.

I'll keep that in mind when the time comes to purchase another set. I don't mind the long coil wire but oh well.

Funny, my car started acting like ridiculous crap this morning, I was gonna come on here and start a thread about it....I'm running EVERYTHING stock for my ignition system, and recently i partially burnt a plug wire on one of my headers, it wasn't bad, but now i'm chugging majorly, hesitating for power constantly. Will some 8.5 msd's, a blaster coil, and some new plugs possibly help that problem?? Any other possibilities on why that could be happening?

It was just convenience for me, I used the FMS 9mm for a long time but all of the wires are long, the AFMs fit like a glove with every wire and the engine bay looked cleaner too. They also have 50 ohms per foot less resistance than FMS, and I did feel a SOTP improvement over the FMS wires when I put on the AFMs.

I'd inspect that wire again. If it's burnt bad enough, that cylinder won't fire, causing it to run like you described. However, I wouldn't buy the stuff until you're sure that's your problem. Nothing more frustrating than buying a part that doesn't fix anything.
