i shortened all my wires including the coil wire. it is fairly easy to do and makes a world of difference as far as appearance goes.RIO5.0 said:I run NGKs and Livewires...
Grady has a point...Prior to wanting to replace all my ignition stuff I ran only McCarville tune-up kits for 4.5 yrs, even cooked a few on my headers..Never had an issue with the Ford parts...The coil wires kind of a pissser being 2' long...![]()

I guess the main reason I still run them is due to a decision I made when I decided to get back in the Stang hobby after being out of it for a good bit of time.
I decided to only deal with things that would give the most performance gain for the amount of money spent.
I saw so many Stangs put down good numbers at the strip and dyno with the oem or stock ignition stuff. After I discovered that fact I reasoned that any upgrade to the ignition would have to take a back seat to other stuff that would help me more.
I've had no probs with those wires.
however
If they were causing a prob, I would replace them with something other than them.
