Now if you really want to change the internal drive gear of your manual tranny you can match it according to the table below. Be aware that the 6 tooth will offer the most combos for numerically higher gear ratios and offer the greatest degree of accuracy. Watch out you don't wind up with junk floating around in your tranny. I had a white (23 tooth) gear in my T-5 tranny (with the 8 tooth drive gear) and the plastic teeth were partially eaten off. I've heard others complaining on different forums that this is a common problem because the teeth don't quite line up. I now use the red (21 tooth) gear and have not had any repeat dental problems. The speedo is off about 11% and I just calculate my speed. Maybe like Grady said the Speedcal thing might be the best option if you need an accurate speedo.

i would like to bring up this subject again to see what i need for my 95 cobra to make it read correctly if i got 373s gears. I dont know how many teeth the stock t5 is
