Alright so here is my delima...I am going to be supercharging my car in the near future and i'm trying to decide whether I should go with KB or Vortech... I want to end up getting 600 rwhp when I'm done with her and this includes forged internals, cams, heads, etc...but with that said, which supercharger would suit my needs the best??? Which one is the best for my goal and what is ya'lls opinions on which is the best for what I am shooting for??

Thanks

uh ok...dont see why

personally...Id do a 5.4L swap with forged internals, run N/A and a 250 shot of nos...that way you have a 450-500 hp N/A beast and 700-750 for track use.

You ask what is best for your goals you do not mention what they are.

Do you own research, come back when you actually have a meaningful and specific question to ask.

I'd go with a Kenne Bell. I don't like how you have to punch a hole in the oil pan with a Vortech. I'd rather have a self-contained system. Since you're planning on forging your internals, I'm sure it could take the boost that Kenne Bell creates.

why is everyone against punching a hole in the pan? theres nothing wrong at all with that.. who cares. I guess thats the "Kenne Bell costs way too much" part of me kicking in, but seriously, if your a "regular" guy financially, vortechs are great. It all comes down to money and what u want to spend, either way is great but they do have their diffs

go with a T trim. It will make a ton of power and wont break the bank. I would compare to my car making 600 on a S-trim, but it is a 4 valve. different story.

I love the KB, but if your making a track car, vortech performs very well.

although KB has made some sick power on Jim's car.... 9's in a full weight strret car 2V aint shabby

you can get a smaller pulley to run more boost.

I love the KB's. I love how they perform and look under the hood. I hope to find a used 1.7 or 2.1 in the fall, if not I will go after the vortech mongoose kit.

An S trim can take you to 500hp. If you want more than that a T trim is what you want.

t trim or novi 2000. i 'm planning on pushing mine past 600 RWHP with the new engine and 20-24 psi. just to let you know what you are getting into, i have over $16000 in mods to my car to get that type of power. your fuel system alone will cost you around $1600-$2000 depending on what you go with.

you have to pay to play!!!

i cant afford a supercharger so i am gonna spray...but if you can afford it, go turbo. If not, then you have to decide what kind of power you want.....the KB and a centri charger are 2 different animals.......

I think people should list the pros and cons of each type to help him decide; I would, but unlike many people because I don't know much about superchargers I won't just post false data and talk out of my behind.

I have been looking around at procharger, vortech and kb...i'm going to supercharge my car then build it such as cams, heads, etc...so i was trying to find out which one i should get and where i can find a kit for it...i know MPH has a strim mongoose kit but if i want to get to 600 to the wheels, that supercharger won't fufill my needs. so there is my delima...which kind can handle that kind of power...and is there such a kit out there or do i have to build the kit and pull all the parts together???

you just need one of the big blowers...t trim or novi 2000! the smaller kb units might not get you to 600rwhp. if they do, you will be spinning then to their maximum capabilities. that will put a lot of wear on the blower and lower efficiancy. so unless you can afford the big kb unit which is way too much for me, your choice is narrowed down. it had to be one of the 2 i listed to spin the blower hard enough to make the 600 rwhp level.

im in the same boat, im going with the novi 2000 in about 2 months. you will need a lot of cash for intercooler, built engine, heads, cams, maf, cobra tank and pump, big injectors, 8 rib pully kit, smaller blower pully, probably kb bap, and a race by pass valve....that should get you up and running.
