I'm ordering these rims tomorrow:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-M...tegoryZ43957QQihZ019QQitemZ290121871294QQrdZ1

Just a quick question, will 255/40R17 on the front and 275/40R17 on the rear fit? Just for future reference also, what are the skinniest and widest tires I can fit on a 9" rim? Tried to search, but I can't find much on people who have 9" rims all the way around. Thanks in advance!

I'd prefer to not have 275 on the front, I just want to know if 255 will fit or if mechanically 255 is too small and will cause serious problems.

275's would work perfect. I have 18x9.5 wheels with 285's all the way around and no issues, like to be able to rotate the tires. Like the wide look and no they don't stick out beyond the venders.

Does anybody know if the 255's will work on the front?

If you are putting them on 9" wheels it might stretch the side walls a bit. They will go on just wouldn't look as nice as the 275's on the back. I'm sure someone out there has them and could let you know.

I personally would do same size all around so I can rotate 'em.
