Which transmission?

I'm looking to get a new tranny, before the one I have blows out on me. And I was wondering, should I get a Viper spec t56 or a TKO-500/600?

Pretty much it comes down to do you want to spend the extra money for a dual overdrive.

T56. you can have a short gear in the back and still get good gas mileage.

do you want a 6speed or a 5speed. the 6speed will be about $500-$1000 more

I just want something that will handle anything I throw at it. I'm planning on a TT kit after I get out of college in 2 years, and want to know that my tranny wont crap on me when producing in the upper 600 lb/ft of trq.

there both good but i love my tko-600. the only thing is it is a loud tranny. its as solid as a rock though.

Dual over drive?

With a 6 speed trans you have dual overdrive. The viper version like the one I run in my cobra features a 0.74 5th and 0.50 6th gear.
