While my car is apart, should i switch to Explorer injectors?

my car's all apart from my broken rr' soo i was thinking of switching to my set of explorer injectors, however i dident liek them before, but no wthat i have an adjfpr i can tune em a bit more, what do you think...shall i?

I thought the injectors on Explorers are the same as Mustangs, 19#? The tops are orange and not gray, but they are the same, so the swap will make no difference.

whell there the same color, however they have a different end, its a large type end,with 4 holes vrs the one hole.

I wouldn't mess with it. It sounds like you could be opening up a whole new can of worms for no extra gain in power.

4 holes for what? a better spray pattern?

yeah our stock injectors have one hole at the bottom, and the xplorer ones have a large bottom witgh 4 holes, its rumored they flow 1-2lbs more

In fact, take a look for anyone who has seen a reg one, it looks quite diffrent, how our come to a point and this is open, they plug right in, and fit right in, but the body is smaller. go figure

IIRC, they are a disk design. they flow a slight bit better. if interested, Tom (TMoss has some info on them - i cant remember if he runs them or not).

do note that it can be hard to come by pintle caps and O-rings for them (not as easily as stock injectors).

I would put them in and adjust accordingly with your AFPR. It may take some fiddling around though.

My 24lb injectors i bought have the 4 small pin holes at the bottom too....

They atomize fuel a little better and flow a little better. I run the 19# Explorers. I have not found a source for the disc cap on them yet. Most people don't know the difference and look at you funny at the parts counter when you talk disc and pintel.
