Yeah, that shortage is the same reason the Shelby won't have a Twin-screw. Really a shame, having to drop back to a Roots on that awesome machine. Hopefully Autorotor isn't having the same production problems as Lysholm...I would hate to see all the rest of the twin-screws dry up also.

A little birdie told me you will not be seeing much from whipple anymore...let's just say its a key insider.I will not say anymore other than they are apparently no longer receiving blowers from the "european" supplier...Been cut off

Well that just kills a dream of mine. :( Well, I guess I need to brush up on my swedish, develop a new "company" as a Sole-Proprietor and then contact them and give them my specs on the V-6. LOL If they can throw these things around at Buick..then come on... Throw me a bone...

You know, interestingly enough, each time I went to their website I was wondering how they are in a "cooperative" partnership with Eaton, yet Eaton has not mentioned them anywhere that I can find, nor do they use a TS. Opcon has not pulled Whipples name from their site.

RE: Whipple Business Arrangement and available Superchargers

Good Morning,

I am a senior member of a large Mustang Technical Forum in the United States. There is a lot of speculation that Whipple has lost their business arrangement with Lysholm Technologies and, subsequentally, will no longer be providing a Lysholm Twin Screw Compressor Supercharger for the 05+ Ford Mustang.

In an effort to contain any rumor, I respectfully request either, a confirmation, denial or "unable to comment" concerning your ongoing business arrangement with Whipple Industries in Fresno, California.

I thank you in advance for your response.

I was assuming Kenne Bell was having the same problem since their unit is not out yet... I thought I read that somewhere too, but hopefully they won't have the same prob.

I haven't heard of a blower supply issue from KB. I do know they are finalizing the production parts for the kit.

I can second what subzero said. They don't seem to be paying their bills. I also have a little birdie that said FRPP is looking at Vortech.

I do know ford is looking at other suppliers to supply the kit.our company works direct with ford on many projects as well as a ton of ford racing dealerships and this information has been circulating through the industry to people "in the know"...we'll just have to wait and see

May I ask what may be a stupid question? I've heard talk of this before, but, is it true that there is a benefit of buying a supercharger from ford racing parts when it comes to your warranty? Or is it maybe a dealer by dealer thing?

It is totally a "dealer to dealer " decision.FRPP are NOT warranted under the standard ford warrantee....DO NOT let a dealer tell you differently.if a dealer chooses to install a FRPP item through them and give the customer a warranty, it is not covered under the ford warranty, but rather an outside organization that is working in conjunction with that specific dealership to offer "supplemental" coverage..
