Ok, I just picked up a 68 cougar that I'm parting out. Obviously these are not the stock seats. They bolt right into the stock spot so I'm thinking they are 69-72ish seats. Are these from a torino?

They don't even look like FoMoCo seats...
Remind me of GM seats, but the covers may not even be stock.
Anyway, they are nothing like Ford seats of the 69-74 era.

Remember that if someone used their head and bolted on FoMoCo seat tracks, they could be from anything and still bolt right in.

Edit: Looked at the pic a little closer.
The covers are not a Ford style or shape at all, but I suppose there could be a Ford seat frame underneath. They appear to fit really loose on the upper half of the back, so looks could be decieving.
They may be the original covers for those seats, but they look too cheezy to me to be stock from any mucsle era car.

Ratio,

I think you are right. I don't think they are FoMoCo. These are the original covers. Originally they were gold w/ white backing and hinges. Instead of the pull up lever on the back (ie modern mustang seats) these have a push button on the back to push them forward. I'm going to cruise around on ebay and look at GM and Mopar seats from 69-73.

thanks

Gold and white?
Hurst Oldsmobiles used that color combo on the outside.
Never really looked inside one though...

There was also a Hurst Plymouth around that time too.
Similar colors.
It was a big car though. Maybe a Fury???
