I've got a 90' gt with a 5 speed. I went through 2 adjustable clutch cables after a few months, bbk i think (they are crap). Then I bought the ford cable from ddperformance for $29. Its supposed to be the stock ford one and that one just broke today. I've got a upr triple hook quadrant and firewall adjuster too. What could be the problem. It broke at the quadrant end right where the metal collar is. Should i go to the ford dealership and buy their expensive cable which is supposed to be the same one the ddperformance sells? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd go to Ford and get a stock OEM Ford cable, with the UPR triple hook and firewall you have the best set-up. It will last forever...

All the aftermarket adj cablkes are junk, they stretch, don't take heat well etc...

the one from ddperformance is a ford non-adjustable cable, that is the one that broke on me today. It says ford on it. Is it any different from the ones at the dealership?

Were are they breaking at the quad, clutch fork,in the sheathing??Do you have it hooked in the right slot on the quad, My quad had burs on it where the cable road in the grove I had to file befor I instaled it you might want too look at it...
oops my bad didnt see the breaking at the quad thing sorry
