Who has a Maverick rear axle in their II ?

I`ve done a search but never did find anyone who said they had done this swap. I`m asking for a freind who bought my old `77 Coupe. I gave him a complete Maverick 8" I had lying around . But We want to hear from someone who ACTUALLY has a Mustang II with this axle ...or has tried it , and can explain why it wouldn`t work .
