Who has got twin turbo’s or knows a lot about them

Here is my dilemma, if you can call it one. I recently bought a twin setup for my 94 GT and I have no idea on how the specifics go. I am an aircraft mechanic and mechanically inclined I can weld and all the other stuff too, but have no experience with turbo setups. So, if you can help me out I would appreciate it. Some of the questions I have: 1. How do you adjust the internal waste gate? 2. Where is the bests place to put the blow off valve? 3. My kit comes with a fuel control so, what fuel pressure should I use? 4. What kind of timing advance or retard am I looking at? That’s all the questions I can think of right now. I’m sure all of you can think of a lot of things I am forgetting. Any and all responses will be appreciated and if you have any pictures I’m sure that will help as well.

Thanks
Chris

What kind of turbos? and what do you mean by adjust the wg.....you hook it up to the manifold, and use a manual boost controller in the line.

are you running a blow through maf?...you almost have to with twins, so you need to put the BOV before the maf......

Fuel.....Do you have an FMU? wht do you mean by fuel control? Do you have a stock fuel pump?

I would run your timing at 8deg adv....But that mainly is for a stockish engine.....it can be different if you have higher comp, heads, etc.

eaither way, you SHOULD, no NEED to get it on a dyno and check the a/f ratio or you WILL blow headgaskets.....you will probably need some type of tuner, like a dyno chip, tweecer, pms, etc.

I use a dyno chip, SUperchip and it works great

Anymore questions, just ask....i built my twin system and it works great.

I'm using 42lb injectors, blowthrough maf, and 255hp in tank pump, and a holly inline....no fmu.

The turbos are gt28rs and yes the engine is mostly stock. So a manual boost controller is how you adjust the PSI that you want? I don’t think that my kit comes with one. Sorry for all the dumb questions but like I said I have no experience with turbos. What do you mean by blow through MAF? I meant fuel regulator and yes fuel pump is stock. The kit has not arrived yet and so I am trying to all the parts I will need before I start and get as much info as I can. Thank for the response

are the turbos internally wastegated?

Yes you will need a manual boost controller to control how much boost you want, they are cheap on ebay ~20.

You can only go as low as the stock springs allow in the wastegates, but you can go higher using the MBC

you cant use your stock maf...is is suck through, you need a blowthrough maf, like a mass air systems, i got mine on ebay from blue oval performance.

will you be using a fmu or going to 42lb injectors for fuel?

you WILL have to upgrade the fuel pump to a walbro 255hp at least, and possibly an inline also.
