Who here put a 2.3T in a Mustang II ?

I'm wrapping up my project and wouldn't you know, my throtle cable is short by about an inch and a half. I have the throtle cable from a late fox body 2.3 FI. I went out to the junk yard and started measuring cables and if the part from the firewall to the mounting block was long enough, the part from the mounting block to the throtle nob/ball thingy was too small.

So before I start making a custom bracket I was wondering what else might work. I know a few other people put this engine in a MII so I'm hoping they get a chance to look at this thread.

Any chance you could just make a short adapter bracket to attach the cable to the linkage? When I put in my new engine (with a '95 GT TB) I had a problem similar to yours except that my cable was too long. I cut a short piece of steel bar stock, maybe 1 1/2"-2" long, and attached one end to the throttle linkage, with the other end having a small bolt that I ground the head of down to a ball. It works great, I get full throttle and I haven't had any problems with it. I had pics up in a thread about a month or two ago but I can't remember what the thread was called, I'm pretty sure it was specifically about installing the 60mm throttle body though. I also can't remember if I have pics of it on my cardomain page or not
