I am going to replace my clutch with a spec clutch, but I am not sure which stage to get. My car has a stage 1 tfs cam, and twisted wedge heads, with a few other parts also. the spec web site says the stage III is the best street-strip clutch. I am thinking this is the one I will go with, since I will be racing it alot this summer. Does anyone here have this clutch, and do you like the way it drives.

For an N/A setup, the stage 1 is more than enough. That's what I use, and it has good feel, no chatter, low pedal effort, and no slippage. And it's a lot cheaper than a stage 2 or 3.

agreed...i got the stage 1. No complaints like the guy above. I also got the M M pedal height adjuster to make the pedal have even less travel.

Stage III with no complaints other then the first few weeks was chatter city. Kept the RPM's at a minimum and 400 miles later it was perfect. Spec clutches have a break in period.

Thanks for the info. guys. I really would like to go with the stage III, because I intend to put a supercharger on next spring, along with the 308 that is going together now. But I am not so sure about the chatter problem that comes with it.

The chatter will go away. The clutch just needs to go thru a break in period of about 400 - 500 miles.

I run the stage II and its perfect for a street car. My car makes 400hp and close to 500 lb/ft on the nitrous and stage II has held up to it like a champ. I run on BFGs.

stage II here i love it, but mineaswell go stage 3 if you plan on adding boost
