Anyone? I think this year I will leave the heads 100% stock so I can save up and rebuild the engine next winter. All that is changed is a comp cams (.500 lift, 270 duration), Edlebrock performer intake, and a 600cfm double pump carb. I might at least get rid of the thermacular bumps on the heads myself if I don't find a cheap machine shop to do it for me.
Next winter will be the real engine build up with a stroker kit and converted to EFI. Right now the car (originally a 4 banger) is costing me alot to get on the road, plus I spent most of my engine budget on new furniture (you know how it is)...
Anyway anyone ever run with a simular setup? It isn't much but I suspect it should be stronger than a stock 302 from 1989. It will also give me time to get used to more powerful cars again because I have been driving 18 second wonders for the past 4 or 5 years now...
