Who is running a MMR Pro Trans 900 (modded TKO 600)?

New Clutch Fork

Driveshaft length alteration (5/8" spacer for 94-95)

I am not that pleased with mine. I have about 3000 miles on mine it has broke third and fourth for some unknown reason. Had it repaired it ok but not what I like for shifting. I would look in to a G-force myself

Avoid the pro shifted and dog clutch transmissions for street use. They are meant to be power shifted, and the harder and faster you shift them, the better they seem to work. That kind of driving does not work in residential neighborhoods or in bumper to bumper traffic.

A stock TKO 500 or 600 will handle all the power you can throw at it with a stock block 5.0. The stock engine blocks start to split somewhere around the 500 HP mark, and your current combo is far from that figure.

I agree. I had a old school tko that held 600+rwhp for YEARS before i final killed 3rd..

On a side note the tko600 has a high 1st gear compaired to the stock tranny and the tko500..So you will need a lot of gear to get the same take torque multiplication vs a t5 or tko500.

Well unless you plan on 1000 hp i think a tko500 will be more than enough.

Hell i had a stock old school tko live behind 600+rwhp for years before 3rd finally gave up(and i was told that was gonna be the only issue i would have).Being that the old tko was only rated at 425 i think its built more than strong enough.

As far as their gears being harden.Sounds like hype.Mainly what can they do that tremec (who makes thousands of trannys a year can not do).

The back bone that actually helps the TKO 600 is the 26 spline count input shaft ,that is a lot stronger than the 10 spline count setup..But even at 600rwhp ,i personally dont see that as a issue.

tko500 first gear torque multiplication with 4.10's =13.407 x 500ftlb torque =6703.5ft lb torque
tko 600 same gears=11.767 x 500ft lb =5883.5

So yea to me the first gear torque multiplication CAN be a big deal..

In other words, gearing is like leverage: You may not be able to grab a nut that's tight and twist it off with your bare hand, but the job becomes easy with a socket and a long ratchet. That's because you gave yourself a mechanical advantage.
