I changed the ignition lock cylinder and realized I had to take the car to a Ford dealership to have the PATS codes changed. I had the car towed to the dealership and they performed the updated PATS. I did take the chip out of the computer. I went to take the car back after they updated the PATS, put the chip back into the computer, and the car wouldn't start. Does the PATS system have to be updated with the diablo or SCT chip in the computer? Or did the mechanic at the shop not perform the update correctly?
