alright i got an intake that came on my 351w. it came out of a 91 van. the upper is the one that comes to the front of the motor and has the twin throttle body set up. i was wondering if the lower would fit a cobra, gt , or any other mustang style upper.
i'm not really worried about having the best flow rate.i'm even thinking aout using the stock heads.i would like atleast gt40 but i'm worried about header problems with them. i'm just worried about getting it together and in the car. i can always do a h/c/i later.i'll get pics of the lower as soon as i can get a pic

The lightnings are the only ones had the 5.8 gt40 lower with upper well besides the 95 cobra r. I have seen that intake though my grandpa had a 95 van with a 5.8 in it same intake. It has a totally differant lower then the gt40, it has ports(rectangular) more like a stock intake but not quite the same.

intakes

Here is a few pics I found, the first 2 are the 5.8 lower, the 3rd the gt40lower, last the 5.0 lower intake so you can see a comparison. The 5.8,5.0 is more oval but I said rectangular sorry.

The closest match to the stock 5.8 lower would be the stock 5.0 h.o upper intake ,but if you look at the base, they bolt on differantly.
