AKRON,OHIO
now im not talking the bulls**t plywood covered with carpet and the stupid long gold hinge.i could make one of those in 5 minutes in my basement.man those look like crap.im talkin something that will look decent if i take it to a show or something, not some hack job a company is making for 3 bucks and selling for a 100.i have seen a few and there is no way any of those are going in my car.i dont mean to step on the toes of people who have these kits in there car,its just the ones i have found dont look right to me.they look half a$$ed.

now thats what im talking about, thank's for the link prokiller.now i just have to see if they make one with a 5.0 on it since i didnt see one.maybe they will make a custom one for me.i'll check into that

Ya, he'll do whatever you like for a logo...He makes nices kits...He made my half ass one with the Gold hinge...:D
Actually that was my choice....So don't think his come that way...

He makes them out of 1/4" MDS board and cover's them in carpet...If you consider that cheesy...Look elsewhere, but he does nice work just the same...They fit excellant...

59.00 shipped for the base model Black kit...

Andy, I like the kit, but that hinge is too exposed...look at the one we made for my car, and note how we hid the hinges

You just put the carpet over it right?

Does anyone have the plans to build one? I want to do a rear seat delete.

Aaron inspired me to make mine. I wanted dual sets of hinges and such (the seatback part folds and there's a lid on the seat part like Aaron has). It turned out fine for my tastes (it's not covered in oesterich or anything exotic). :D

If the Crystalworks guy is named Joseph, he is a cool cat to email. I inquired before deciding that I wanted to make my own (5/8" MDF - I made the only RSD in history to weigh more than a stock seat. I haul huge bags of hound food etc and didnt want it to break or bow).

Anyhow, point was that Crystalworks seemed like a cool place to do business with.

Good luck and be sure to post pics of what you do. :nice:
