Hey guys I was pulling out my hair on why my car was running poorly so I started by readjusting my valves this weekend. Turns out that at least one of my lifters is dead so far (I stopped at that point no point in going on). I can bottom out the spring with my thumb pushing down on the pushrod. Also explains why that cylinder was running lean too. Who makes good lifters for a reasonable price. Figuring that the stock ones lasted 130K so I was planning on getting some FMS ones. Is this a wise choice or is there something better around the 150 dollar price range I should get. Thanks a lot. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Craen seems to make most of Fords cam and valvetrain parts. Comp Cams makes replacement roller rockers too. But Rhodes is making hi performance roller rockers now too (I think) for the 5.0.

Some say yes, soem say no. I'd like to see a back to back dyno between stock and the Rhodes lifters. That would give some answers.

Just looked at Summit's webpage Crower and Erson Make roller lifters too. As does Lunati. If you are looking to spend less than 150 don't bother looking any farther than FRPP. Everyone else is $200 and up for 16 lifters. FRPP is only $120. And if you got 130K out of the originals, you'll likely get just as much from the FRPP units.

That's what I was thinking too... It would be hard for me to spring for the Competition cams lifters for a street motor. Especially since I probably won't see 100 dollar performance difference on an already tired short block. Thanks a million. FMS it is!

Why the hell would you need 2200 dollar lifters? Seriously. WTF is so good about them that makes them worth 2200 dollars
