I first got in to stangs back in the 70's while in high school. I've had a 66 289 convet, a 67 289 convert, a 67 fastback 289, 4-speed a 68 GT fastback, 428 CJ, 4-speed and a 69 mach 1 428 CJ, 4-speed. I was one that thought the good old muscle car days were gone forever. As I tried to relive my childhod and bought my 07 GT because it reminded me so much of my 67's and 68. The real surprise was when I nailed it, I expected a generic muscle car with the old ones as the standard. "Man", was I fooled, these new stangs would run rings around the old ones. The 428's in stock trim would turn mid 14's as did the stock hemie's and took some cah to get into 12's. These new stangs are in the 13's stock and a couple of bolt ons away from the 12's, and thats with a 281 CID engine no less. I'm one who is glad to say that the muscle car days are back and back with a vengence!!!!!!!!!
